Mark Blaiser, Executive Director, Waste Wise: Mark Blaiser is the executive director of Minnesota Waste Wise and the Energy Smart program. Minnesota Waste Wise is a non-profit affiliate program of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce that delivers strategic environmental consulting that helps businesses save money through waste reduction, resource conservation and energy efficiency. Mark holds a master’s degree in Environmental Leadership with a focus on environmentally sustainable business practices. Prior to coming to Minnesota Waste Wise, Mark owned and operated a remodeling company that incorporated green building practices.

Corie Ross, Dero Bike Racks: Corie has been involved with metal fabrication and powder coating for 10 years. Before getting in to the manufacturing business, he was enlisted in the US Navy for 3 years. Once he completed his time with the Navy he then started with metal manufacturing and powder coating for a small company in Central Minnesota. Then, in 2003, he joined Dero Bike Racks, manufacturers of bicycle parking solutions. Over the last 6 years he has been involved with production side of the business, but now is running the day to day operations at Dero as the Operations Manager.
Nick Weis, Director of Engineering & Technology, Crystal Cabinet Works, Inc.: Nick Weis is the Director of Engineering & Technology at Crystal Cabinet Works., Inc. Crystal has been in business for over 60 years, and manufactures medium to high end custom cabinets for the residential and commercial markets. Nick has been with Crystal for over 24 years and has held various positions in Manufacturing Management, Manufacturing Engineering, and as Plant Engineer. He believes in Continuous Improvement, or your competition will pass you by. Nick has a B.S. Degree in Engineering from St. Cloud State University, and a Masters Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of St. Thomas.

Larry Johnston, Director of Agency Relations and Officer of legislative and Regulatory Affairs, SMMPA: Larry Johnston has been Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (SMMPA) since 1986. He currently heads up a team responsible for developing new initiatives and managing relationships between the Agency and; its members, member key accounts, state and federal agencies, state and federal legislators, regulators and special interest groups. Among those initiatives are the Agency’s comprehensive suite of DSM programs, which on two occasions have been, recognized by the U.S DOE and EPA. Current efforts focus on expanding programs and program participation to ensure that SMMPA and its members cost effectively meet the challenges of recently adopted and pending greenhouse gas legislation.
Tom Sagstetter, Great River Energy: Tom Sagstetter, is the Energy Conservation & Efficiency Program Coordinator for Great River Energy. Great River Energy is a generation and transmission cooperative owned by 28 electric distribution cooperatives serving approximately 630,000 members or about 1.7 million people throughout Minnesota and into Wisconsin.
Jeff Jackson, Trade Relations Manager, Xcel Energy: Jeff Jackson is an Xcel Energy Trade Relations Manager. He works with commercial product vendors for cooling, lighting, energy audits and studies to help spread the word about Xcel Energy’s money savings rebates, and other ways Xcel helps businesses like yours save on energy bills. His background varies from medical sales and utility account management to civil engineering and biological research using bacteria to break down toxic waste. He’s a rock climbing enthusiast undertaking his first competition this coming winter. Jeff has a degree in Biology from Humboldt State University in Arcata in Northern California.
