Central CERT Tour: Anishinaabe-Led Clean Energy Projects

This Central CERT tour will feature Anishinaabe-Led clean energy projects and is being hosted by White Earth Land Recovery Project (WELRP). To learn more about WELRP, please visit http://nativeharvest.com.

Agenda

  • 11:30am: Introductions
  • 11:45am: Tour of clean energy projects. CERTs have partially funded an energy efficiency campaign and a solar thermal hot air installation and training with WELRP. Founding Director Winona LaDuke and staff will cover these projects as well as their wind turbine project taking place within the community.
  • 12:30pm: Lunch – The CERT meeting will gather in the upstairs conference room. During lunch we will discuss on-going projects that CERTs has supported, new projects being considered in the region and across the state, and new incentives and programs that are coming on-line with the federal stimulus bill.
  • 1:30pm: Adjourn

Location & Directions: 607 Main Avenue, Callaway, Minnesota 56521. As you come into Callaway on Hwy 59, look for the school building on the west side of the street; this is the WELRP headquarters.
